We're Back!

I didn't really intend to take a blogging hiatus, but it turned out that way. Because we have so many grandparents, family members, and friends that bug me (thanks Uncle Mike!) to update this blog, I figure I better get on it. So look forward to some updates on our Dear Miss Evalie and the rest of the Mandura Family (that's just me and Alex though).

Happy Halloween!

Well, it is way past due for an update from the Mandura's, so here goes:Today Miss Evalie is 14 months old. The time has flown by. And I know it will continue to fly.
Evie has discovered climbing! She will climb on anything and everything. It is scary for me, but she is a brave little girl.

She also blows kisses and dances now. Too cute for words!

I have been getting crafty lately. I fell in love with my sewing machine. I actually made the pumpkin dress. I am also in the process of starting a business to sell tutus. November will be busy with Christmas gift making (I have some fun ideas) and curtain making.

The curtains will be going on our NEW WINDOWS. The house we live in has gotten a face lift recently. New windows, new flooring (Alex worked his tail off installing it) and new carpeting. We also painted most of the walls. It's like a new home! We love it and are excited to have visitors, so come see us!

Alex stays busy with the church, of course. Too much to say really. But it's all good.

Enjoy the pictures!

CRAZINESS!!!

The last couple of weeks have been extremely crazy for the Mandura family. Just a few things that have been going on:

1. Cincinnati was hit with the remnant of Hurricane Ike. While we had very little structural damage (just a couple shingles off), we had three trees down in the back and no exectricity for 3 days. While the electricity was off, their was a water advisory in our town. Thankfully we had a friend who still had electricity and let us stay with her! Our electricity is back on, and most of Cincy is back to normal!

2. I began selling Usborne Books and had my first Home Show this week!

3. Evalie discovered spinning! She loves to twirl around and around and around!

4. There have been 4 (or 5?) deaths in our church family. Of those, Alex has had to do 2 of the funerals. One is Saturday. Funerals take a lot out of Alex. He spends so much time with the families, and it is emotional for him as well. The lady whose funeral is Saturday we knew very well. She was older, but died unexpectedly. Alex was at her home before her body was removed, ministering to her family. Please be praying for us and our church family during this time.

Hopefully soon we will be back to our boring selves, but for now...CRAZINESS it is!

The Promised Birthday Party Pictures...

...are still not posted! I went to post them tonight, and I can't find the disk! I think I took it to the church. Or it is in Alex's laptop case. Either way, I am a bit scatterbrained! I'll get them soon! Hopefully before her 2nd birthday!!!!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub! Evie's In the Tub!

Some great pictures from our Picture People photo shoot today!

This (above) is the one I ordered! I love my coupon for a free 10x13 that I get from there! I get a fabulous picture of my gorgeous girl for my wall (in this case, the bathroom wall!), and then they send the rest to my e-mail so I can share them with you!

The Little Zebras

Today Evalie and I went to the zoo with our friends Tara, Addy and Caleb. We always enjoy the zoo and time with our friends. After the zoo, I took Evalie to The Picture Peopleto get some pictures taken (I love those coupons!). Tara and her kiddos came too, and we got a few pictures of our kiddos all together!
And of course, some of Evie!

Oops!

I realized tonight that it is Wednesday, and I didn't post the promised birthday party pictures yesterday. I am too tired right now, so I will work on it soon!
