An Update

This week was not too great for pictures. I didn't take very many for some reason.
This week also hasn't been very great in general. Evalie has been sick. Very congested and a gross, snotty nose. We took her to the doctor on Wednesday, and her sickness is not in her ears or chest. We are very thankful for that!! So now we just have to wait it out. Lots of saline nose drops, steamy showers, and prayer!! Evalie is such a good baby though. She doesn't even seem to mind. She is a tiny bit cranky (who wouldn't be), but cranky for Evie is still a good baby!
When we went to the doctor, they weighed her (I posted it on AIP, but not here. I totally forgot! Sorry!!). Miss Evalie weighs 23 pounds and 8 ounces!!! She is growing so fast!
These two pictures are from Sunday. This dress is from Evalie's Great Grandma Dorothy!
As I mentioned, Miss Evalie is growing so fast! It seems like, all of a sudden, she is doing a lot of stuff. She sits up all by herself (the doc even commented on this) for a really long time. She is playing by herself well. She rolls over consistently. No more putting her on the couch!
Evalie reaches for her toys. The other day, I put Evalie down on a blanket to play. I gave her a few toys and set the basket of toys beside her. I turned around for a few minutes to do something (probably laundry!), and when I turned back around to check on her, the basket was empty! It is so much fun to watch Evalie play and learn. I really need to cherish these moments. It is going so fast! Too fast!
Evalie is getting close to crawling, we think. She scoots backwards, and the last couple of days, Evalie has gotten up on her knees! When she starts to move, we are in a world of trouble!
Some pictures of Evie playing:

Hopefully I'll have some good pics on Friday!

Hats!

We have always thought that Miss Evalie looks adorable in hats. And she just keeps getting cuter and cuter!
This is Daddy's hat. He thought it would be funny to put it on her. It was really funny because she was bare bottomed, sitting in our living room. Daddy put the hat on her, and Evie just sat there, with her bottom hanging out, grinning.
I used to be obsessed with putting bows on her head. Evalie doesn't have much hair, so I had to use the headband kind. They get so tight on Evalie's head so fast, and Alex doesn't like me to use them so much. My new head obsession for Miss Evalie is hats. I am very excited for spring and summer, because we have some very cute ones to put on her noggin.
I love this purple hat. Last week Evalie and I were wandering through Target and some guy said, look, that girl has four tassles on her head. I guess it was worth mentioning!

More Pictures of our Beautiful Girl

I took Miss Evalie to Portrait Innovations this week, to get her pictures taken. Now before you go judging me, please know that I don't have her pictures professionally taken every week. Last week, I had the coupon for Picture People and they were totally free. This time was planned. I wanted to have her pictures taken in her dedication dress. And it was totally worth it! The people at Portrait Innovations were great, and the price was not too bad. So here are a few of the beautiful girl for you to enjoy!

Play Date

Last Wednesday Evalie and I went to The Blue Manatee, this great children's bookstore, to meet some friends. Momma got to have some grown-up conversation, and Evie got to play. Well, Maya and Braylon played together while Evie played alone. Uh-oh, hopefully "does not play well with others" is not in our future.
She really liked playing with Maya's bell toy. Another Uh-oh! She's stealing toys from other babies! On the upside: at least it's musical. I guess buying some musical type toys is in our near future (Olivia, where did you get that bell thingy (like the technical term)? Evie really liked it!).

Evalie's First Artwork!

Such A Big Girl!!

Have we mentioned that Evie likes to drink from a cup? Oh, yeah, she does. She loves it! She gets excited and kicks her legs when she sees a cup, any cup!

Evalie Loves You!

On Wednesday I took Evalie to Picture People to have her Valentine's Day pictures taken. (I had a coupon for free pictures! It was just very hard to not purchase more than what I had a coupon for.) Thankfully the Picture People sent the proofs to my e-mail and now I can share them with you! I have to say, this girl is adorable!! Grandparents, if you would like to purchase prints from the Picture People, I can send you the link to Evie's pictures. Just let me know.

Evie and Daisy

Miss Evalie has been very interested in Daisy lately. Evie watches Daisy as she walks around the room. She tries to grab hold of her any time she is close. Last night Evalie and Daisy had a few minutes of bonding that I caught with the camera.

Evalie is a spitter. While I was taking pictures of Evalie and Daisy I caught this spitting too. It is way cute and she does it all the time. Sadly a still shot does not depict the cuteness, but this will have to do, I guess.

Pictures From The Weekend

Some Pictures of Evalie on Sunday, February 10, the day of her dedication.Evie and her cousin CamdenEvie and her Grandpa JeffThe Mandura FamilyThe whole clanWhile my dad and Reese were here, they took us out to eat. Sunday after church we went to Bravo! an Italian restaurant. Very good food. While we were there, Evalie colored her first picture, kind of. Those pictures will be posted Friday.
Also, Miss Jerzie Anne drank, alot! Not really, but these pictures of her are hilarious, I think. I promise the bottles are just from bottled water!
Saturday night Dad and Reese took us to PF Chang's, my favorite. Theses are pictures from Saturday night.

We really had a great weekend. It was so nice to be able to spend time with my family.
