Evalie Loves Her Swing

This weekend I bought Evalie a swing (at a yard sale for 5$!). We hung it in our tree, and Evalie had a ball swinging. It is our new favorite thing to do!

Playing with Friends

Every Friday a group of mommas and babies from LLL get together for a play group. Evalie loves playing with her new friends. These girls are all a few weeks apart in age. They are just learning to play beside each other. Occasionally they will take each others' toys, but eventually they will learn to share.

This is Evalie, Elaina, and Aleah.
Addy is Caleb's big brother (Caleb didn't want to get his picture taken with the girls). Addy loves playing with the babies!

This Is Where We File The Baby

Even though Evalie is not yet crawling, she certainly knows how to get around. She usually sits on her bum and scoots all over the place. Sometimes she will get on her hands and knees and crawl backwards. A few days ago, we were working at the church. Evalie crawled backwards in between the two filing cabinets. She couldn't crawl forward to get out. Evie was smiling at us and laughing, but it didn't last too long. Once she figured out that she was stuck, she let us know that she wanted out!

A Flowery Day

Last Tuesday Evalie and I went to the zoo with some friends. We had lots of fun looking at the animals, riding the train and the carousel, and just being with friends. The zoo had some beautiful flowers, so we stopped for some photos of the kiddos. Evalie and her friends, Addy and Caleb
Evalie was way more interested in playing with the grass than smiling at me and the camera.

It was a beautiful day with some beautiful flowers and our beautiful girl!

Posting

Yesterday was the second Friday in a row that I did not get pictures posted to this blog. While I would love to keep updating twice a week, our weeks are getting too busy. I just don't have enough time. During the summer we get even busier. So for the summer I will only be posting pictures of Evalie on Tuesdays. Look forward to some great ones this week!

We have a cart in our kitchen that has a cabinet on the bottom. It holds our popcorn stuff: popper, corn, bowls, salt, etc. A few days ago, Evalie discovered that she could open the door to the cabinet. She went exploring! The bag of popcorn was her favorite. She likes squishing it and the noises it made when she shook it!

Softball Game

Our church has a summer, co-ed softball team. We had our first game on Friday. Evalie and I enjoyed socializing and watching the game.
Alex enjoyed helping to coach the team!

Spring!

Lately it has been beautiful here. We have enjoyed some fun moments outside. These pictures are of Evalie's first experience with grass.

She loved it!

Evalie sat for a long time examining the grass.

She felt it.
Tried to pick a dandelion.
Felt the grass some more.
And then looked up at me and grinned!
She did this over and over and over. Look at the grass, feel the grass, pick some grass, smile at Momma! It was like she was telling me that she was enjoying the grass, the sunshine, spending time with me.

Pretty In Pink!

Evalie and I did our own little "photo shoot" today. I was trying to get a few new pictures of Evalie for my other blog. I am by no means a professional photographer (I would really love to take a class sometime), but I think the pictures turned out pretty cute. These are a few of my favorites.

Yogurt Face

Miss Evalie loves yogurt. Although she wears most of it!

Bath Hair

Miss Evalie doesn"t have much hair. It's enough that I can put a bow in it most days, but not enough to play with. I am looking forward to giving Evie pig tails one day. For now, I just play with her hair in the bath.
