Showing Her Pearly Whites
Miss Evalie got her bottom two teeth in towards the end of January. We pretty much had no problems with those. She was extra drooly, and sucked on her hands a lot, but other than that, she was a trooper.
Tooth number 3, her upper right, was a bit more difficult. Evie was a little bit fussy, and of course the drool and sucking came back. That tooth came in over Easter weekend.
But tooth number 4 was a bear of a tooth! I thought it was going to come in the same time as #3, but it finally broke through her gums. That sucker did not want to come out. Poor girl has been working on getting that tooth in for way over 6 weeks.
This tooth also caused Evalie a bit more grief. She was the fussiest with this tooth coming in. I don't really blame her though.
So I thought I would get some pictures of Miss Evalie's beautiful toothy grin.

We're Goin' to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo! How About You?
Alex got me (and all of us) a membership to the zoo for my birthday. After waiting for an excruciatingly long week of rainy, dreary, Ohio-spring weather, we were finally able to go to the zoo on Saturday. It was a gorgeous day, sunny and warm. We loaded up and headed to the city to see the animals.
Evalie didn't really pay too much attention to the animals, but she enjoyed being outside. She would occaisonally spot an animal and smile and wave, but mostly she rode around the zoo, enjoying watching the people.
When the animals were up close, Evalie liked looking at them. But most of the time the animals were too far for her to really see them and enjoy them.

There are more pictures of the gorillas here.

Thankfully, Evalie took a nap in the car on the way to the zoo. So she was well rested and in a good mood the whole time we were there. She did get tired towards the end. Evalie rested on my shoulder quietly. Then she took another nap on the way home.
Daddy, leading the way with the zoo map.
And waiting patiently for us while Evalie was eating. He enjoyed watching the ducks eat.
We stopped for a cold beverage and a snack. Miss Evalie had to share our water too!
Daddy drinking water at the zoo when he was (roughly) Evie's age.
We had so much fun, and we can't wait to go again!

PlayDate Pictures
Our Musical Girl
Evalie and I go to the Library on Wednesdays. They have a Lap Time for about 20 minutes. A children's librarian reads books, leads songs, and entertains the babies and toddlers. We love Lap Time at the Library.
Evalie and the Gloworm
Miss Evalie has not always liked her glow worm. But now she loves it! The glow worm is a favorite toy at bedtime!
